Yep, this is the one that started it all!  WAY back in the early 1980's when we began Shady Lane, we published several diamond afghan designs.  We called it our dropped dc stitch method.  Little did we know it was REALLY monochromatic overlay mosaic crochet!

Cleverly placed sc worked in back lp of sts and dropped dc stitches worked in front loop of stitch 2 rows below form the design.
