Teddy Bear Portrait Afghan

I've long wanted to do a teddy bear afghan with a large bear in the center.  All my others have smaller bears, usually in rows.  Here is something different!  This huge huggable, sweet charmer will win the heart of your little one.

I designed it using worsted weight baby yarn so it would work up a bit faster than the usual baby yarn.  I love the soft worsted weight baby yarns that are being made today.

The design is created by the dropped dc stitch worked in the front loop of the stitch 2 rows below.  Check out the video on my website to see just how easy this technique is.

Included in the booklet are row by row written instructions as well as an optional graph for a 38 1/4" x 42 1/2" baby afghan and a 43 3/4" x 48 1/2" child-size afghan.
